We all know the “doodled” Google logos marking important events, people and dates.  Google invited school students to Doodle 4 Google a design that is uniquely New Zealand.

It was Amelia Abbot (8) from Nelson’s Hampden Street School who won, with her theme "Green and Gorgeous".

Amelia says she drew inspiration from our natural environment, and her artwork cleverly uses native icons such as the kiwi bird, the fern and kiwifruit.,
