Wellington's Cable Car is one of the citiy's best known tourist attractions. The cable cars operate every ten minutes, all day and seven days a week between the Lambton Quay shopping district, The Terrace, Kelburn Park and Victoria University and, at the top, the Wellington Botanic Gardens.  See the timetable.

The Botanic Gardens offer magnificent views over the city and harbour - and there are other attractions up here too.  These include the Cable Car Museum, the newly-reopened Carter Observatory and the shops and cafes of Kelburn Village.
